The location was marvellous and lovely, right next to the hotel's restaurant. And it was also not far from a lovely park, perfect for a long walk, Groningen, and the bar / bistro. The indoor restaurant served plenty of well presented food.

The staff was kind of rude.

Stayed for 2 nights in this nicely decorated and truly exceptional place, really enjoyed that. the service was very good. the rooms were well-equipped with garden access, a decent sized bathroom plus a good desk.

This hotel has it all. Great facilities, clean and comfortable rooms and excellent restaurants where the food and service were fantastic. Its ideal for a peaceful weekend away in lovely surroundings but easy to find. Probably the nicest "chain" hotel I've stayed in

Very very good breakfast with hot items, exceptional service. Location close enough to the Netherlands, perfect for a long walk and the outskirts of Heerenveen.

I have never been in a better hotel. the restaurant had friendly staff, and I enjoyed delicious dishes. the staff were competent and attentive, providing useful information. the location is magnificent, just a 10-15 minute walk from Icon Park.

De kamers waren schoon en netjes, fijn terras buiten, mooie omgeving, vriendelijk personeel, helemaal goed!

Ontbijtbuffet was na 10.00 uur al bijna helemaal leeg.. gelukkig waren wij er voor 10.00 uur maar een tweede rondje zat er niet in.

Excellent service, and always pleased to assist. The food in the restaurant and the bar was extremely well prepared and tasted wonderful.

Excellent rooms, large and comfy, the surrounding are incredibly beautiful, the hotel is placed in the woods, heerenveen is close enough for a bike ride, you can rent a bike in a good state from the hotel, breakfast was good, staff was very nice and helpfull.

This place is quiet and stunningly beautiful with great views, an exceptionally comfortable bed in a modern room, located in a lovely spot on the outskirts of town in a very quiet area.

Excellent location in the middle of a forested area. We had a room on the second floor looking towards the forest in the back of the hotel. We were fortunate to enjoy nice weather and had a window open during the night. The birds were singing while we were waking up. The breakfast that was included the price was superb with excellent variety. The staff was extremely friendly. Walking and biking in this area was very nice, and we enjoyed this quite a bit given the nice weather we had. But, I would not stay longer than 3-4 days so to enjoy different scenery. We chose this hotel on input from others as shown on Booked.net. Overall, we had a great stay. We are staying in other hotels on this trip as well, and this Golden Tulip Tjaarda Oranjewoud offered better value for the money than others.

The service in the restaurants was slow. But the food was good and to be able to eat outside (for dinner and lunch) was a pleasure. If you have a room facing the front of the hotel were the outside patio is, you may be subject to some noise from this patio. We did not experience this.

Superb staff who really made our stay memorable. We also liked the quiet location of the hotel.
